Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu on Friday (7 March) inaugurated the Udan Yatri Café at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad.
Located at the check-in hall of Terminal 1 at Ahmedabad airport, the new café will provide passengers access to snacks starting at Rs 20.
The Udan Yatri Café aims to provide quality food at accessible prices, making airport dining more affordable for passengers.
The café’s introduction is part of a broader strategy to modernise airport infrastructure, while ensuring that air travel remains a viable option for more people.
"This cafe offers quality snacks starting at just ₹20, ensuring that passengers can enjoy refreshments at low cost. This initiative aligns with our commitment to enhancing airport infrastructure while keeping passenger convenience at the core. With this launch, we continue working towards vision of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji of affordable and inclusive air travel for every citizen," Naidu said in a post on X.
The first Udan Yatri Café was introduced at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata in December 2024, which received positive feedback from travelers.
Later, a café was inaugurated at Chennai International Airport on 27 February 2025, furthering the mission to provide affordable refreshments to passengers.
