'After A Long Gap Of 500 Years': 'Pran Pratishtha' Of Ramlalla At Ayodhya Temple Today

The much-awaited 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ramlalla is set to be held at the Ayodhya Temple today (22 January).

Many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will be present on the occasion.

PM Modi is expected to reach Ayodhya at around 10.45 am, and will be at Ramjanmabhoomi temple site by 10.55 am.

UP CM Yogi, who will be part of the ceremony, said on Sunday (21 January) that with the 'pran pratishtha' of Ramlalla, a golden chapter is going to be added in the history of human civilisation and 'Sanatan' culture.

"Tomorrow, after a long gap of 500 years, Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ramlala is going to reside at his birthplace, in the grand and divine temple rebuilt in Shri Ayodhya Dham. The new idol of Shri Ramlala will be consecrated tomorrow in the dignified presence of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. We all are Rammay, Shaktimay, Ayodhyamay, Shraddhavanat...," he added.

The 'pran pratishtha' at the Ram Mandir will begin at 12.20 pm, and is expected to conclude by 1 pm.

As many as 121 Acharyas will coordinate and monitor all the processes of the ritual of the Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony.

Varanasi's Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid will guide all the processes, while Varanasi's Laxmikant Mathuranath Dixit will be the chief Acharya. 

Ahead of the important event, the temple town wore a festive look as guests started to arrive in the city.

Over 7,000 dignitaries have been invited by the 'Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra', the trust constituted to manage the affairs of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, for the ceremony.
