BJP Hits Back At Congress After Its Bihar Unit Shares AI-Generated Video Of PM Modi's Late Mother

The BJP has strongly attacked the Congress after the latter's Bihar unit shared an AI-generated video on its official X handle showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother expressing anguish over being dragged into politics by her own son, reported The New Indian Express.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh and other BJP leaders criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of insulting the Prime Minister’s mother. Singh demanded legal action, calling the video a fraud committed through artificial intelligence against a deceased woman.

Giriraj Singh, a senior BJP leader from poll-bound Bihar, said Rahul Gandhi had become shameless and lacked respect for women.

The video surfaced on social media just a day before Prime Minister Modi’s scheduled visit to Bihar, where he is set to inaugurate several government schemes, including the Purnia Airport, and address a public rally.

A BJP leader from Bihar said, “Let us wait and hear what our Prime Minister has to say about this disgraceful act by the Congress during his rally in Purnia. The Congress has made a mockery of itself by circulating such a video.”

Former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain, a prominent BJP minority leader from Bihar, also condemned the Congress and criticised its leadership in strong terms.

The BJP’s reaction highlights rising tensions ahead of the Prime Minister’s Bihar visit, with party leaders framing the AI-generated clip as a politically motivated attack that disrespects both the Prime Minister and his late mother.
