Canadian police arrested three people on Monday (4 November) who were protesting the recent attack by pro-Khalistani elements on the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, according to ANI.

The protest, organised by the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA), aimed to show solidarity and stand against "Khalistani intimidation" and "anti-Hindu" sentiment.

Peel Regional Police reported that the arrested individuals faced criminal charges and were relocated to different locations in Mississauga. Protests were also held at Surrey’s Laxmi Narayan Temple.

The police stated that the arrests were related to actions during the demonstrations and that both the 21 and 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureaus would investigate further.

Daniel Bordman, senior correspondent for the National Telegraph also called out the response from the police alleging them of 'acting as an arm of Khalistanis' and taking action against Hindus.

In response to the attack, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed concern for Indian nationals in Canada and urged Canadian authorities to protect places of worship and prosecute those involved.
