L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRHL) has become the first metro rail network in India to earn the prestigious IGBC Green Platinum Certification for all 57 metro stations across its three corridors: Red Line, Blue Line, and Green Line.
The achievement highlights the organisation’s dedication to sustainable urban transportation and green building practices.
The certification was conferred during the Green Building Congress 2024, held in Bengaluru by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The accolade was presented to KVB Reddy, Managing Director and CEO of L&TMRHL, and other key officials.
Expressing his gratitude, KVB Reddy stated, “We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition. It stands as a testament to our team's dedication to sustainability and their relentless efforts in creating a greener future for Hyderabad. This achievement reinforces our commitment to providing eco-friendly, efficient, and reliable public transportation for the city.”
Echoing the sentiment, Sudhir Chiplunkar emphasised, “The IGBC Platinum certification is a significant milestone for L&TMRHL.
