Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0: Tamil Nadu Governor Flags Off Train Carrying First Batch Of Participants From Chennai To Varanasi

A special cultural journey has commenced as the inaugural group of participants embarked on a memorable trip from Chennai to Varanasi for the much-anticipated Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 event.
Conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this initiative seeks to honor and celebrate the rich tapestry of diverse Indian cultures under the theme of #EkBharatShreshthaBharat.
The participants were warmly welcomed by leaders of BJP Tamil Nadu, and the Governor, RN Ravi, flagged off the train on its journey to Varanasi from Chennai.
Scheduled for inauguration on 17 December by Prime Minister Modi, Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 spans from 17 to 30 December.
The cultural journey will extend beyond Varanasi to include visits to Ayodhya and Prayagraj, exploring religious, cultural, and historical sites that deepen the participants' connection with the shared heritage.
Throughout the excursion, participants will actively engage with local individuals, including weavers, artisans, writers, and entrepreneurs, fostering meaningful interactions that transcend regional boundaries.
The previous edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam, held from 16 November to 16 December 2022, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of approximately 2500 individuals from diverse backgrounds, underscoring the event's success and broad appeal.
