The Indore Lok Sabha constituency witnessed the highest victory margin as the Congress candidate Akshay Bam withdrew his nomination on the last day and joined the BJP.
The BJP candidate here was Shankar Lalwani, the incumbent MP who hails from a Sindhi background. He won by a margin of 11.75 lakh votes, while NOTA got 2.19 lakh votes.
The second-highest victory margin was registered in Assam's Dhubri constituency where Congress candidate Rakibul Hassan defeated incumbent AIUDF MP Badruddin Ajmal by over 10 lakh votes.
The third-highest victory margin was in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha where former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan won by 8.21 lakh votes defeating Congress candidate.
Two constituencies of Gujarat have made into top five victory margin list with BJP state president C R Patil winning by 7.73 lakh votes in Navsari and Union Home Minister Amit Shah by 7.45 lakh votes in Gandhinagar.
