Pulwama Terror Attack: Punjab MLAs Pass Assembly Resolution To Donate One Month’s Pay To Kin Of CRPF Martyrs

The Punjab Assembly on Monday (18 February) resolved to donate one month's salary of each legislator to the kin of the Central Reserve Police Force personnel martyred in the terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, Business Standard reports.
The resolution to donate one month’s salary of every Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) was taken unanimously in the Assembly in Chandigarh. MLA Parminder Singh Pinki moved the resolution.
In one of the deadliest terror attacks in the state, an SUV laden with explosives crashed into the bus carrying 45 CRPF jawans. The terror attack has resulted in a stir of antipathy across the nation.
Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das, with other cabinet members, had announced that they would donate a month's salary to the family of CRPF soldier Vijay Soreng, the New India Express had reported. The state governments of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have both announced the ex-gratia payments of Rs 25 lakh to each of the families of the soldiers. Various celebrities have also announced financial aid to the families.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also announced a ban on Pakistani actors and artists and IMG-Reliance pulled out of the Pakistani Super League.
